This image shows the tools along one side of my shop. As with most crafts, knifemaking can be as simple as a piece of steel and a hand file, or as involved as my shop is becoming. My early knives were made with few tools and turned out well. The tools just speed things up and increase precision. The dehumidifier on the left holds the humidity down in the shop and helps keep natural handle materials stable.
